张务，湖南湘潭人。外国语学院区域国别研究中心教授、北京大学国际关系系学士、康奈尔大学政府系硕士、博士。

研究领域：比较政治经济学、中国政治和基层治理。在The China Quarterly,The China Journal 和Journal of Current Chinese Affairs 发表过文章。在 The Sage Handbook of Contemporary China 以及 The Routledge Handbook of Chinese Culture and Society发表过书本章节。在美国联合学院、麻省大学波士顿分校以及华中师范大学教授过政治学和国际关系的课程。
